Adobe has just released an awesome interactive/video application to celebrate 10 years of Flash history. Check out the Flash Anniversary Microsite to watch the videos (direct link)!

We had a great time at the PittMFUG Birthday Party for Flash – too bad the video wasn’t ready for then! Anyway, better late than never – great work!

It was a sweet time at the last PittMFUG! Thanks to everyone who showed up and took part. A big thanks goes to Adobe for covering the expenses of the party and providing a copy of Studio 8 for us to give out. New PittMFUGer, Justin Richards, was the big winner of the night.

Unfortunately, we did not receive the Flash cookies in time for the meeting – they came the next day! We froze’em up real good like in the freezer so they should still be good for the next meeting. We did a demo of Flash 1 (Future Splash Animator) at the meeting and as promised here is a link to the Flash 1 demo that will run on Windows XP. Some of you guys wanted that sweet animation I did in Flash 1 too but I can’t release something that valuable . In case anyone wants the slides from that night that included the trivia questions you can get those here.

August 9th is Flash’ 10th birthday and Adobe wants to throw a party! At our August 17th meeting at New Perspective (directions), we’ll be treated with Flash cookies (yes, the baked kind), a “History of Flash” video and a copy of Studio 8 to raffle off. We’ll have food and drinks compliments of Adobe as well.

If you haven’t been to a meeting in a while, you won’t want to miss this one. Remember, you’re entered into the next big Adobe Software Raffle just for showing up.
